Get to Know Me

Hi I’m Tisha (short for Letitia)  I’m a Certified Integrative Health Coach, A NASM Certified Personal Trainer and most recently a Certified FASTer Way Coach specializing in Midlife Women. I also hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Central Florida! GO KNIGHTS!

As a young child and a teenager, I dealt with anxiety/panic attacks and digestive issues which contributed to my lack of motivation and fear of failure throughout my adolescence. Oh how I wish I had known how much food and exercise could have changed my life during those years.

I became a mother at the age of 23 and was determined that my children were not going to deal with the same paralyzing anxiety that I had dealt with as a child. I still didn’t have all of the answers but I was truly in search of anything I could do that would help

In my thirties I came to realize that food truly is either poison or the world’s best medicine for your body. After a long bout with acid reflux I began to pay attention to what I was eating day in and day out. I ditched the processed foods, began drinking green juices, started to cut out gluten and fried foods and slowly noticed that not only did my acid reflux disappear I began to feel a cloud lifting from my brain.  The negative thoughts and feelings of being stuck also started to disappear.

At the age of 35, after losing my mother in a tragic car accident, I began to also focus on movement. I made sure to get outside each day and walk to clear my head and to get much needed Vitamin D.  The next few years were tough but I truly believe that my commitment to my health gave me the tools that I needed to cope and to be the best mother I could be.

In my early 40’s, as my children were about to make their way to college, I decided to return to UCF to finish my degree. I was determined that I would graduate college before my kids! During those years I spent a lot of time in front of the computer and the weight slowly started to creep up on me.  That’s when I found the paleo lifestyle and began focusing on eating grain free, dairy free and sugar free (added sugars that is.) This way of life helped me to lose a good deal of the weight but it wasn’t until I began to incorporate strength training that I truly saw my body transform.

At the age of 47 I hired a personal trainer who taught me how to work hard in the gym. I became so committed that in a matter of 6 months my body composition had changed dramatically. This gave me the confidence I needed to begin working on a certification to become a personal trainer myself. As a young girl, the one passion I had was for dancing. I had always been interested in the body and the way it moved.  The idea of becoming a personal trainer and helping others to transform their body felt exhilarating.

From the age of 48 until now, (I am about to turn 55) life has had it’s share of ups and downs. I lost my husband suddenly in 2019 and then my father, my best friend, in 2023. I’ve dealt with the changes that come along with perimenopause, being a widow, empty nesting and losing a parent but I’ve also enjoyed seeing my son get married, spending time with my sweet granddaughter, traveling to Italy with my kids and their friends, and continuing to learn all that I could about health and wellness in midlife.

What we used to do in our 30’s just doesn’t work as we enter mid-life. I have a proven strategy that has worked for thousands of women and I can’t wait to share it with you!

Get ready to eat more of the foods that you love, exercise less, have more energy than ever before!
